RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Tuesday, 27 September 2022 – Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) received a visit from the Goh Keng Swee Command and Staff College of Republic of Singapore today. Upon arrival at the Air Movement Centre (AMC), Rimba Air Force Base (AFB), the delegation consisting of 47 Officers were welcomed by Lieutenant Colonel (U) Hajah Suriani binti Haji Junaidi, Acting Chief of Staff, RBAirF. A brief entitled “Future of the Air Force: Prospects and Challenges” was presented by Lieutenant Colonel (U) Muhammad Walee bin Haji Roslie, Commanding Officer of No.1 Wing, RBAirF.
Concurrently, Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohammad Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim received a call from Colonel Quek Seoh Hiong (RSAF), Senior Directing Staff, Republic of Singapore Air Force. In attendance were Colonel Peter Chee, Defence Adviser Republic of Singapore and Colonel (U) Hishamuddin bin Abidin, Commander Operations Group, RBAirF. During the call, both sides spoke of the opportunities to engage in bilateral interactions such as exchange of visits and trainings for both air forces.
The delegate then had a question-and-answer session before proceeding for a group photo session and the presentation of token of appreciation. The visit followed by the viewing of the static displays of RBAirF assets and capabilities. Before concluding the visit, Colonel Quek Seoh Hiong (RSAF) signed the commemorative parchment.
This visit aims to give exposure to course participants to the assets and capabilities of RBAirF and hence provide understanding and strengthen the defence cooperation between to the forces.

LAWATAN MAKTAB TURUS GOH KENG SWEE REPUBLIK SINGAPURA KE TUDB
PANGKALAN TENTERA UDARA RIMBA, Selasa, 27 September 2022 – Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) menerima kunjungan dari Maktab Turus Goh Keng Swee Republik Singapura pada hari ini. Sejurus tiba di Pusat Pergerakan Udara (PPU), Pangkalan Tentera Udara Rimba (PTU Rimba), delegasi seramai 47 Pegawai-pegawai dialu-alukan oleh Leftenan Kolonel (U) Hajah Suriani binti Haji Junaidi, Pemangku Ketua Staf, TUDB. Delegasi juga turut menghadiri taklimat khas bertajuk “Future of the Air Force: Prospects and Challenges” yang disampaikan oleh Leftenan Kolonel (U) Muhammad Walee bin Haji Roslie, Pegawai Pemerintah Cawangan No.1, TUDB.
Pada masa yang sama, Brigedier Jeneral (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohammad Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim menerima kunjungan berasingan daripada Kolonel Quek Seoh Hiong (RSAF), Senior Directing Staff, Tentera Udara Republik Singapura. Turut hadir ialah Kolonel Peter Chee, Penasihat Pertahanan Republik Singapura dan Kolonel (U) Hishamuddin bin Abidin, Pemerintah Kumpulan Gerakan TUDB. Semasa kunjungan tersebut, kedua belah pihak menyatakan pelbagai peluang bagi mempertingkatkan hubungan dua hala seperti pertukaran lawatan dan latihan bagi kedua tentera udara.
Delegasi kemudian menghadiri sesi soal jawab sebelum meneruskan sesi bergambar ramai dan penyampaian cenderahati. Lawatan diikuti dengan lawatan ke pameran statik yang terdiri dari beberapa aset-aset dan keupayaan TUDB. Sebelum mengakhiri lawatan, Kolonel Quek Seoh Hiong (RSAF) menandatangani lembaran kenangan.
Lawatan ini bertujuan untuk memberi pendedahan kepada delegasi khasnya tentang aset dan keupayaan TUDB dan seterusnya memberi kefahaman serta mengukuhkan kerjasama pertahanan dua hala.
